TA HF SSB Contest: Türkiye's First HF Competition Begins!

The TA HF SSB Contest, Türkiye's first HF competition and eagerly awaited by amateur radio operators, is being held for the first time this year. This event, a significant step in the world of amateur radio, will bring together all participants who want to showcase their talents on the high frequency (HF) bands.

The competition will begin at 00:00 UTC on Saturday, August 23, 2025, and will continue non-stop for 24 hours. Participants will compete to establish connections with stations in SSB (Single Sideband) mode on the 160, 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meter bands.

International Lighthouse / Lightship Weekend 2025

Dear Amateur Radio Users and Radio Friends,

As the TC7TR Amateur Radio Event Group, we are participating with great enthusiasm in the International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend (ILLW) 2025, a highly popular event worldwide! This special 48-hour event, taking place on August 16-17, 2025, aims to build on last year's success.

Last year, at this enjoyable event, which we participated in for the first time, we were proud to make our country's name known worldwide by making a total of 1,499 QSOs in SSB, CW, and QO-100 modes. Our goal this year is to increase this number as much as possible, both to represent our country more strongly on the ILLW platform, and to expand this meaningful event to various lighthouses in Türkiye.
